Speed Up Your 4GB PSP Memory Stick

Have any of you experienced slowness on your new 4gb memory stick? Well first you need to check if you have a fake or a real one, the biggest way on how you can tell is by looking on your Memory Stick. Make sure you have “MagicGate” on it. Another way is to download the new PSXReality Memory Stick Tester v1.0. Well here’s how you can speed up the Speed on your 4gb Memory Stick (without FAT16, or FAT, your games may lag no matter what format!) Reason is because PSP reads/writes slower on FAT32 but reads/writes faster on FAT16. 2GB is formatted to FAT16 by default and 4GB is formatted to FAT32 by default. To increase your 4GB MS speed just like your previous 2GB, you need to format it as FAT16. Now, before you flame me saying 2GB is max for FAT16, you need to research more. However, 4GB FAT16 is not compatible with lower Windows versions (Win95/98/Me/MSDos) but is perfectly compatible with PSP and WinNT and WinXP. This is due to Microsoft hardcoded max cluster to 32k o...

LittleBigPlanet, first post

There’s been a lot of hype on the soon to be released LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation 3. Last Friday (Oct. 3rd) I was lucky enough to find a beta key in my Inbox! I quickly began the download which took a few hours thanks to my 249k/s internet connection. But the next morning, I quickly installed the game and entered the LBP word. I have to say that the game really is cool and is worth the hype. Users can play together in different ‘worlds’ and CREATE worlds/levels as well! More posts to follow with some video shots of the game!

Add An FTP Server to PSP CFW 3.x

Good news, I finally found an FTP server for my PSP. Now I can transfer files without always connecting my USB cable from my PSP to computer. Here’s what I used: pspftpd-v0.4.0 Now the thing to remember is to open the zip file and navigate to: pspftpd-v0.4.0 –> fw3.x –> COPY THE FOLDER ‘psp-ftpd’ and paste it: X:/PSP/GAME directory Very simple to install, even easier to use. Then use your favorite FTP client to connect and begin transferring files!

PSP friendly websites

Recently, I’ve been pretty interested in Sony’s Playstation Portable (PSP). The psp is a really nice sleek little system with some nice features. But right out of the box, it only plays UMD games and movies. Now I’m not going to get into hacking or unlocking a psp, that has already been posted on Soundwave’s site, “ Don’t Cross The Streams “. The psp also has the ability to surf the internet wirelessly, so if you ever found yourself in a hotspot, you can pick up the Wi-Fi signal and surf away. But the psp browser is very limited, plus, it does not have a keyboard so I wouldn’t be sending email. However, the surfing capability is very handy for at least checking email, running simple searches, you know that doesn’t require alot of typing. So here’s a short list of sites you can access from your psp while still having it look great and not fall off the screen: Mobile Hotmail Mobile Facebook Google GMail Tetris MSN Messenger Wea...

Slash Is One Tough Cookie At Medium Level in Guitar Hero III

Boy, am i ever tired. Today I completed Guitar Hero III on the easy level. I’m a little proud of myself but I don’t feel I truely completed the game. I think to completed the game one has to at least be at the HARD level, right? Slash in Guitar Hero III battling it out. But so far, this MEDIUM level is pretty challenging. I’m starting to miss alot more notes than on EASY AND I’m loosing the crowd which is making me end the gig before the song is completed (no good at all). Either way, it’s still good clean fun. I have beat Tom Morello on the medium level however now I’m battling Slash and he’s one tough mother to keep up with. Alot more missed notes than ever before people! Looks like I’m gonna have run through the tutorials and get some practice on technique. LOL!
